We really made it!
Today is a very special day in the story of Leisure Alaska. We have just received our first real check with US-dollars for CD-sales in the States. So we made it, we crossed the pond! Let the champagne pop.

Pop Up
We just arrived home from a small tour in Germany. Once again the german crowd prooved to be a very nice one! And we made some new friends! Check this small video out

Finished recordings and another concert in Germany
We have finished the recordings for our new album "It's a Bear". We our selves are very happy with the result - looking forward to hearing you guys' opinions. We will be contributing to the Polar Night in Greifswald, Germany on the 11th of May. Polar Night is an all Danish evening of concerts.

New positive review

Berlin and the new album
On September 30th we are going to Germany once again. This time to play a concert in Berlin. When we return to Copenhagen we are going straight to the studio to record a new album. Things are busy and good in the Alaskan camp.

International contract!
We have signed an international publishing contract with AMV-Talpa / Edition Neversongs. We are of course thrilled! AMV-Talpa is one of the biggest indie publishing firms in Germany and the Netherlands. AMV-Talpa are working with names like Art Brut, We, Chicks on Speed and now us! Sneak Preview
We are making a lot of new songs at the moment. And we are eager to share them with you - so we will do just that! If you stop by Lades Kælder Wednesday the 24th of May, we will play you some new songs, before we hide in the rehearsal room again to prepare the next album!

Territory expansion and new material
The expansion of the Leisure Alaska territory continues. April 28th Denmarks bigger and slightly hipper brother Sweden will be visited by us. Apart from that all our energy is spent on recording demos of new material and planning a new and exciting video. So there's plenty more to come for you fans and hangarounds.

Monkey movie and review
On the American site Boca Tinta we just received an amazing review. Also Transistors in my Mind is featured in a movie about the Anti Personal Space Monkey. Check it out. That monkey knows where the action is.

Together again
Guitar player Andreas just returned from a long stay in Brazil. We are starting rehearsals for the spring concerts today. Apart from the songs of the album we will be playing some sparkling new tunes. A good reason to attend the shows. We start out in Copenhagen on Thursday the 16th of March. See you.

Heads up Sweden!
Leisure Alaska is going to Kristianstad to play a gig on the 28th of April. We sure are looking forward to that. kulturkentauren

Last concert of 2005
Our last (and almost without a doubt best) concert this year will be played tomorrow at Huset i Magstræde in Copenhagen. We will be joined by 2 amazing bands: Joycehotel and Talking To Teapots. It all starts at 21. So be there or be square.

We have made a booking deal with Offbeat Booking. This means more Leisure Alaska concerts in the future. So everyone's happy.

Hey There MTV
Starting today MTV is playing the 'Hey There Mr.' video 14 times a week in a so called "Breaker Rotation". It is really cool!!! So tune in to your MTV and watch our debut on the big and all mighty music channel.

Tjeklisten
Today the radioshow "Tjeklisten" played "Hey there Mr." as a candidate for the list next week. Please take your time to vote for us: Tjeklisten. The show is on air sunday from 12:00 - 14:00 on DR P3.

No more Liga DK - Yes, more Boogie
The 'Hey There Mr.' video stayed on the Liga DK chart for 5 weeks. That is the maximum! We are very happy with that. Next week the Boogie chart will take over by testing the video. That's Friday the 30th of September at 4 pm on DR1.

Videos are only allowed to stay on the chart for 5 weeks. This means we will be kicked out next week. So please help us mark our exit from the top position. Vote one last time on dr.dk/liga Our gratitude will be endless (or pretty close to endless)

New release date
The release of our album has been rescheduled. "The Deja in my Vu" will be out on October 17th. So please have patience - it will pay off. We are mastering the album today and during the weekend the final details will be put on the cover. Thus we should be settled for a genuine release.

The video for "Hey There Mr." is done! It was made by Thorbjørn Christoffersen, who among other things also made "Terkel in trouble" - the big danish theater succes in 2004. The video has been built in full 3D, and has become a bizarre and beautiful tour into the world Leisure Alaska. See it in the Media section.
